These are just guidelines for already opened products so if you’re still not sure simply judge by it’s looks, smell, or feel. Mascara3 or 4 Months or less if it makes your eyes feel tired or weighed down Foundation1 Year - never putting your fingers directly into the bottle! Lipstick Glosses and Liners1 to 2 Years. This is when it starts to smell funky Eyeshadow1 Year. Feel the application, does is still go on smoothly? Blush1-2 years. Eyeliner6 Months. Sharpen pencils after every other use. Liquids that aren’t used within this time should definitely not be used because it can cause burning. Now, when you’ve cleaned out the shoebox full of old cosmetics get out and buy some new product! Look around online first and get a sense of what’s out there and what’s in this season. Look for trend reports and pick up the latest issues of fashion and style magazines. They tend to have the latest on what’s in & trendy. So many people follow the leader - try and look like a celebrity or famous personality. Don’t! Be daring and different!
