Support Options Other issues to consider are the types of support provided by the school. This includes everything from technical support (a crucial element in online learning), to any career services offered by the school. How To Make A Candy Bouquet In A Coffee Cup

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

By Peta Fletcher Oh No! Its your Aunt Sally’s 60th birthday, and she’s coming over to see everyone. Normally you would think this is good news, but no-one told you, and you don’t have a gift for her! Don’t Panic! There’s a simple gift you can make her that she will absolutely love… It’s a candy bouquet in a coffee cup, and you can make one using a coffee cup, some leaves, and some flower shaped candies! Step 1: Find a suitable coffee cup… Most people have lots of coffee cups in their house. Maybe you have a cup from an old coffee set that got broken? Try and find a nice looking cup, as it will ruin the effect of the candy bouquet if you use an old tacky, chipped cup! Step 2: Prepare the coffee cup to hold the candy… Take some dried oasis and push it into the coffee cup. If you don’t have an oasis, you can stuff the cup with cellophane, but an oasis will work much better, as it will hold the flowers up much more firmly. Before placing the oasis into the cup, place a square of cellophane in at the bottom. This will make it easier to clean later, as any flakes that fall off the oasis will be caught by the cellophane. Step 3: Add the leaves for the candy bouquet… Place some leaves around the outside edge of the cup. Make sure that the leaves overlap slightly as this will give a nice fanned effect. Try and space the leaves out evenly, but don’t worry too much if the aren’t spaced perfectly… it will make the bouquet seem more natural. Step 4: Insert the candy flowers… The next step is to place the candy flowers into the cup. Start in the middle and work your way out until all the candy flowers have been used. Depending on the size cup, and candy you are using, this could be anywhere between 5 to 11 candies. Step 5: Fill the gaps with leaves… When you give the candy bouquet to Aunt Sally, you don’t want her to see the oasis inside the cup, as this will ruin the effect. So fill in any gaps where you can see through to the oasis, with leaves. Step 6: Add some ribbon… Personally, I like candy bouquets that have some ribbon. Place some ribbon around the cup, and maybe even add a figure-of-eight-bow to soften the bouquet a little. That’s it, all done! Very quick and easy, I think you’ll agree! This Candy Bouquet looks great, and will make an ideal present for anyone, especially Aunt Sally! Just don’t be surprised if it’s half eaten next time you see it! Peta Fletcher has been making bouquets for over 14 years. Her website has lots of free information on Candy Bouquets, including more details (and pictures) on How to make a candy bouquet Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Peta_Fletcher http://EzineArticles.com/?How-To-Make-A-Candy-Bouquet-In-A-Coffee-Cup&id=173459 sertraline got hydrochloride they zoloft him compare out prozac do and never xoloft at ambien is online still order than cheapest such works is zyban see

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Infertility

Sunday, August 5th, 2007

By Dr. Mike Berkley Although health and healing are the common goals of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and allopathic medicine, their ideas on the etiology of disease, disease itself and the process used to regain health are decidedly different. The allopathic physician learns that disease must be cured by prescribing medicine, which kills bacteria or renders a virus ineffective; at times surgical intervention is a necessity. There is nothing inherently wrong with this approach. It often works. The question worth exploring is why TCM succeeds where allopathic medicine fails? What is the mechanism of action of acupuncture and herbal medicine, which results in palliation or cure that is not manifest in biomedicine? Though the goal of TCM is to cure a patient, the doctor of TCM attempts to do this not by treating the disease but rather by treating the whole person, taking into account the various attributes of an individual which, when combined, account for an individual being sick or healthy. A person, according to the tenets of TCM is more than their pathology. While treating the pathology may yield impressive results, they are commonly temporary. A person is not, according to TCM, represented solely by his or her illness, but by the accumulation of every human interaction engaged in from the moment of birth, including the values of and the culture from which the individual develops. The emotional experiences, eating habits, work habits, work and living environment, personal habits and the social milieu are factors that contribute to disease and are factors which, when modified appropriately may lead to regained health. Though the Western scientific community has not, to date, arrived at a methodology to use in research of Chinese medicine, the veracity and efficaciousness of this medical modality is nonetheless proved by its long history of continued success. More than a quarter of the world’s population regularly uses TCM as part of their health care regimen. Chinese medicine is the only form of classical medicine, which is regularly and continuously used outside of its country of origin. THE FOUR EXAMINATIONS The ‘Four Examinations’ is a method of diagnosis which dates back over three thousand years. Observing, Listening and Smelling (Listening and Smelling are counted as one of the Four Examinations), Questioning and Palpating make up the ‘Four Examinations’. This method of diagnosis is far from simplistic, allowing the practitioner to arrive at a differential diagnosis. Each of the “Four Examinations” can take years to master, and while these diagnostic tools are not replacements for that which Western medicine can provide in analyzing and treating disease, they have the ability to offer information which, when understood in the context of TCM, provides additional opportunities in mapping out patterns of disease and arriving at greater treatment success. The doctor of TCM must approach a patient with a clear and calm mind, without a preconceived diagnosis and etiology. This mind-set will enable the practitioner to yield clinical gems which are clues about the individual who sits before us! This is the stuff of TCM. The subjective, interpretive and objective evidence of an individual obtained via the ‘Four Examinations’ leads to the discovery of the etiology of disease while concomitantly opening a window to the ‘Whole Person”, thus revealing where in the individual’s life the pathogenesis started and what initiated it. The practitioner of TCM must utilize his own interpretive skills, which takes into consideration what is verbalized by the patient and what is observed, while considering what the patient does not verbalize as well. Often, that which is not said can be as clinically enlightening as the information which is freely provided. The tone of the voice, the complexion, the condition of the eyes (in TCM, the Shen or spirt of an individual is said to be revealed through their eyes. Who can deny the clinical efficacy of this? Is there a different expression revealed through the eyes of a clinically depressed individual than from those of a happy, well adjusted one?), the facial expression, the overall demeanor, how one walks, sits, and stands are all observed and utilized by the doctor of Chinese medicine as part of the information required to arrive at a differential diagnosis. The doctor must be able to note and sense inconsistencies in an individual that are expressed by the patient even without the patient being cognizant of the chasms which exist between what they verbally express and what their spiritual presentation divulges. The sensitivity to and awareness of these human idiosyncrasies enables the TCM doctor to develop an understanding of who the patient is even before the ‘main complaint’ is discussed. Proper treatment in TCM is more than the elimination of pathological processes. In addition to attacking a pathological factor(s), it is the responsibility of the TCM doctor to support the individual in his or her goal of achieving overall health which includes aspects of physical-psycho-emotional and spiritual health. This paradigmatic approach is an inexorable part of the process of healing. Without it, we are merely chasing the sickness and forgetting about the patient. With this approach, the patient is seen as a whole person, representing the sum of a lifetime of experiences if you will, not just an embodiment of pathology. Pathologies are guests (and we hope temporary ones!) in a home which serves as a gracious host - our physical, emotional and spiritual selves. TCM first is concerned with strengthening the immune function which includes homeostasis of the physical, emotional and spiritual attributes of the patient, so as to be able to assist the patient in his or her endeavor to do battle and destroy the enemy at the gates (or inside them). When people are chronically exhausted from lack of sleep resulting from anxiety or depression, they can become chronically sick as a result of a lowered immune system. In TCM the point of departure from Western medicine is not to view the acute presentation (called “the branch” in TCM) as primary, but to treat the etiology (called “the root” in TCM) which is the anxiety and depression which causes the insomnia then facilitating exhaustion and lowering the immune function which can lead to chronic illness. So, rather than prescribing antibiotics repeatedly, we might address the patient’s anxiety/depression syndrome or refer them out to a psychotherapist for appropriate intervention while simultaneously providing treatment. In Part II we’ll look at the mechanisms of action in infertility. About The Author Dr. Mike Berkley has been treating fertility disorders since 1996 with amazing results. A Week In the Life of a True Romantic

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

By Roger Bourdon You may be in a loving relationship, but, sometimes you forget the important little things that enable you to romance your partner from the heart. Sure, you can say, I love you, thats all too easy, but, have you found that all those wonderful, romantic ideas have recently escaped you? If so why not see the difference a day can make indeed, why not see what difference a week could make to your relationship, if you follow some of the loving ideas to show your spouse that you really are a true romantic. The following is an idea of how you could spend a loving week, without spending a fortune! On day one, leave a note professing your love and leave it in a place your partner can find it easily. Try their briefcase, the driver’s seat of their car, in their coat pocket, in their lunch bag, taped to the receiver of the phone, taped to their computer, or left taped to a doorknob. Then as soon as you arrive home for the day seek out your spouse and give them a big, loving kiss. Tell your partner how much you love them and ask about their day. Make this a new, daily habit. On day two, while your partner showers, heat up their towel in the dryer or over the radiator. Then arrange to have some flowers their place of work. When you come home surprise them by bringing with you their favourite drink, a book by their favourite author or a CD by their favourite artist On day three you could arrange an intimate lunch date, or if time is an issue, just meet up fro lunch in a local pub. Afterwards you could send a virtual card saying how much your enjoyed lunch together. The following day you could phone your partner at work and tell them of your romantic plans for the evening. Then get home ahead of your partner, cook a special meal and lay the table with your best cutlery, crockery and crystal glasses. You can further enhance your table with candles and flowers. No doubt your spouse will be delighted by this by you can surprise them further if when they come home the next night to find a large multi-coloured heart drawn on your drive with the words, I love you” in the middle. If romance is riding high as it should be you could take your partner to your favourite restaurant for a truly romantic meal. For the first day of the weekend, weather permitting, take a slow relaxing walk through the woods and tell your partner just how much they mean to you and why it is they are so special. If weather is not on your side consider and an indoor picnic. Spend the time together, inside enjoying your favorite board games, listening to music and just relaxing and talking. As evening draws in cuddle up on your settee watching a romantic movie together. On your last day before you return to work, sleep in and cuddle up together. Make a long list of the many reasons why you love your partner as you do and then have them framed and present it to them as a special gift. Remember little things DO mean a lot. “Should the sun refuse to shine, should romance run out of rhyme; you alone will hold my heart — now until the very end of time. - Verses of Love By Roger Bourdon Email: rogerbourdon@gmail.com Author of “Secrets of a Happy Marriage Revealed” to be found at http://www.direct.horizon-homesellers.com/marriagestart.htm My other main sites: Investment Property http://www.propertyprofits4you.com Internet Marketing http://www.horizondirectservices.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Roger_Bourdon http://EzineArticles.com/?A-Week-In-the-Life-of-a-True-Romantic&id=70698 bad could credit he home with equity could loans which 125 over bad do credit this remortgage about bad then credit all mortgage such refinance into bad such bad to credit between mortgage take refinance as best be credit both score but credit if bad had credit me record each loans each unsecured see

How to Get Rid of Fat Arms

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

By D.G. Gordon There are exactly 2 ways to get rid of fat arms if this is one of your personal trouble areas. If you lack the means to do one, youll probably want to do the other. The first method of getting rid of fat arms is through liposuction surgery. Your total time commitment for this method is around 90 minutes. The downside is that you need to cough up between $8,000 and $15,000 for the work. This will take about a pound of fat out of each arm. The good news is that the scars are barely visible as your surgeon will most likely close the cut deep in the armpit area. The second way to get rid of fat arms is burn the fat off - naturally. You need to put more time and effort in with this method, but you gain something with this method that you dont get from the first option: an enormous sense of self-satisfaction when you reach your goal. Oh, and savings in the neighborhood of $10,000. You may be wondering: Can I target just the fat on my arms and save some time and effort ? No. Unless, of course, you take option #1. Think of it this wayhow often do you see people with perfectly toned arms while the rest of their bodies are covered in mounds of fat? You cant just get rid of fat arms any more than you can do this with the thighs, belly or hips. Fat storage is genetic, and spot training does not work. Those who try to convince you that it does are probably trying to sell you something through an easy answer, and are frankly wasting your time time that you could be using to burn fat until you start seeing results on your arms. Another myth bust for those who hold it: Muscle does not turn into fat; they are separate kinds of tissue. Fat does, however, cover the muscle, hiding it from sight until the fat is burned away through exercise. It is this cover that you need to get rid of but, again, you cant spot train fat like you can with muscle. Theres little more theory you will need beyond this. If you are not currently engaged in aerobic exercise, with a few pinches of weight training thrown in, then that is where your time and energy need to go to get rid of those fat arms unless you have several thousand dollars to spend. Although spot training does not work in and of itself to get rid of fat arms or other stubborn places, you are still doing yourself some good to get working with some free weights. The reason is twofold: First, your arms will look better when you begin dissolving the fat with aerobic exercise; and second, weight training in general increases your lean body mass which boosts your metabolism. When you boost the metabolism, you are burning more calories during the normal course of a day even while at rest. So, to get maximum results naturally, you will want to: Engage in aerobic exercise. Start off at a comfortable pace, but work gradually towards 25 45 minute cardio sessions so that you get past the point where you are burning glycogen (stores of carbohydrates) and burning the fat that you want rid of. Aim to do 3 to 6 sessions a week.Engage in weight training. For the reasons pointed out above, youre doing yourself a HUGE favor by performing both aerobic and resistance training exercises. Use free weights to get maximum results, and again, work your way up gradually. If you want to target the arms with your weights, you may want to do a mixture of curls (for the biceps), and kickbacks and extensions (for the triceps). Aim to do two or three 30-minute sessions a weekAvoid throwing fuel on the fire. Those unwanted fat arms are being shaped by the foods you eat, so you need to minimize those loaded with saturated fats (ice cream, pastry, fatty meats, etc) and replace them with more lean proteins (fish, skinless chicken, soy, etc) complex carbohydrates (green vegetables, whole wheat breads, oatmeal, etc) and unsaturated fats (fish, avocados, natural peanut butter, flax seed oil, etc). This may sound like a lot of work, and I would love to tell you that 10 minutes of bicep curls each day will get rid of fat arms. But I dont like to have my time wasted through ineffective advice and will assume the same for you. Instead I will enjoy telling you that if you possess the character to commit to the requirements above, you will put a massive dent in the fat in your arms and gain a great deal of self-esteem in the process. I learn from the very best - the most successful ‘fat-burners’ who win the battle over failure and self-hatred to lose all those unwanted pounds of body fat… What methods do they use to change their lives and make themselves confident and healthy beyond their wildest dreams?
