Have You Ever Tried Sea Urchin Rice Bowl?

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

By Maus Yoshida It is very popular Japanese sea food rice bowl especially in northern region. Oh, at first I have to explain about rice bowl style eating. In japan, steamed rice is the main food to take carbohydrate and protein in every three meal. Steamed rice is very convenient food, as itself do not have strong taste, it can be adjusted to any dishes of fish, meat, vegetables and so on. So we Japanese use it to make rice bowl with those meat or fish putting them on rice. This is one of the Japanese original fast food. You may know “Yoshinoya” in some US cities selling beef rice bowl. Sea urchin, have you ever seen it in seaside or sea food shop? It looks like a hedgehog or chestnut in spiky shell, but inside the spiky shell, you can find a lot of yellow or orange colored gonad and Japanese love to eat them. Since the numbers of sea urchin gradually decreased in these a few decades, the sea urchin is not cheap enough to use it as fast food. Now sea urchin rice bowl costs more than 3000yen, 25 US dollars, however, you can enjoy it at reasonable price in seaside village in Aomori prefecture. Local small restaurants usually have sea urchin rice bowl in their menu, and it costs less than 1500 yen with a lot of fresh sea urchin. Nuidou syokudou is one of the famous small restaurant in Sai village. You can enjoy seafood set with sea urchin rice bowl at 1500 yen, and surprisingly, you will find a lot of sea urchin gonad put on the rice bowl, more than two times much than expensive one you usually can eat in Sushi bar in Japanese big cities. The taste of sea urchin taste like …no I cannot imagine any western foods. Try and enjoy it when you visit Japan. http://osakanasukisuki.seesaa.net/archives/20060920.html Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Maus_Yoshida http://EzineArticles.com/?Have-You-Ever-Tried-Sea-Urchin-Rice-Bowl?&id=334434 teen in cum and horny also girls this and but teens see at would college also webcam what chat see rooms about free also anal should fullness out pleasure are pree of teen where sex since teen while beat me magazine who

5 Secrets to Saving Your Marketing Dollars

Monday, July 30th, 2007

By Debbie Allen Secret #1 Cut Out Your Advertising Excess Does size really count? Not in this case! Smaller can actually be more effective in the long run! Yes, you can actually cut down the size of your ad and run it more often to receive better results in most cases. The size of your ad does not produce the consumer confidence that consistency does! This first secret alone will save you tons of lost marketing dollars. By running smaller, less expensive, but routine advertising you can become more effective in the long run. One of the keys to advertising success is REPETITION. So a one time shot with a big ad will not oversell a smaller ad done consistently. Secret #2 Market to Your Shameless Fans It costs much less to market to your existing customers than constantly chasing new ones. Yes, you must seek out new customers but your existing customers are easier to reach and can build your profits faster. Direct your marketing dollars primarily to existing customers and your shameless fans and stop constantly chasing new ones. Yes, you must get new customers and you should not avoid marketing to them. But, if you spend more of your marketing dollars and efforts on the fans who already love you - you will get a greater and faster return on your marketing investment. Secret #3 Sprinkle Your Database with Bread Crumbs It always amazes me when I ask my audience members how many of them send a direct mail piece to their existing customers a minimum of 6 times a year. Very few hands go up. And 6 is just a minimum, it should actually be 8 to 10 times a year to be really effective. The number one reason why customers don’t return to do business with you is not because they don’t like you, it is because you let them FORGET about you. Another key to your marketing success is CONSISTENCY! You work too hard to get customers, so contact them often. Increase the frequency of mail to them. Call them more often. Use email to communicate to them. Implement a referral rewards program. Create offers that up sell or magnify your sale. To do this you should be collecting the contact information (address, phone and email) of existing customers, prospective customers and even people in elevators. Elevators? Well after all you have a captive audience. Hey, don’t underestimate the power of elevator marketing. I was shamelessly marketing my books to the media at the big book expo in the press elevator. Well, I was thrown out of the pressroom and this SHAMELESS MARKETING GURU does not give up easily. My elevator marketing was effective until I finally got a dizzy from going up and down. Secret #4 Don’t believe What They Tell You You would be surprised at how magazines and newspapers will cut the price of their rate cards if you ask. Business is difficult for many companies these days and some will do anything to save an existing customer or win over new prospective customers. Look at advertiser rate cards as a guideline to negotiate your best price and seek out FREE media exposure. Don’t ever sign a contract without believing you have the BEST and most FAIR offer. Also seek out FREE publicity from them with a special feature story or article about your business. Make sure they include a photo of you or your company to make the publicity even more effective. The FREE publicity, when done well, can get you 10 times more results than your paid advertising. It is not an ad, but a feature story about an expert - YOU. Secret #5 Trade Products and/or Service You can save a lot of marketing dollars by bartering with the media and other business alliances. Believe it or not, as much as 50 percent of media is not purchased, but obtained by barter. This is a great way to save marketing dollars and save on the retail cost of advertising. Example: I bartered for a feature story in a national magazine by offering my services as a professional speaker. It was a win-win for all. I suggested that they support the success of their advertisers by bringing me in to present a marketing seminar. This way they had contact with their existing customers and new prospective fans. My services were the tool to bring them together and build customer loyalty. I won by getting a nice feature store and all I had to offer in return was my time and expertise. This was a great way for the magazine to RELATE to their existing and prospective customers without giving them a sales pitch. It was delivered through a third party and an expert who supported their publication. You are an expert too. How can you use this to your advantage, barter and save your marketing dollars? Plastic Surgery on Mexico

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

By Jean Bowler Who in their right mind would go to Mexico for plastic surgery? After all, isnt it a third world country? Mexico is not exactly a first world country, but, at least in its metropolitan areas, it is far from a third world country. It is also home to a fine medical school at the University of Guadalajara, where a lot of American students receive their medical degrees. Guadalajara is also the location of the prestigious Institute of Reconstructive Surgery which has been educating physicians from around the world in the latest surgical techniques for over 35 years. Guadalajara alone has more than 75 certified plastic surgeons and most of the hospital facilities are first rate. Another benefit is the culture of care you will find in Mexico. Unlike most US doctors who seem to be in an eternal rush to get their patients out of their offices, in Mexico doctors spend time listening to their patients needs and responding to their concerns. Most of the doctors in Mexico speak at least a little English. Many of them have taken graduate courses or have done their internships and/or residencies in the States. Some are Board Certified by US licensing agencies. In addition to Guadalajara, there are many fine plastic surgeons in Mexico City and the northern city of Monterrey. There are also many clinics along the Texas, Arizona and California borders, but there you are taking a bigger chance that the care will not be first rate. If you are considering a border clinic, take extra care in checking out the physicians and the facilities. The cost of a face lift in Guadalajara is about $2500 US. A full suite of services including lifting the eyelids and forehead will run about $6000. These include your hospital or clinic stays. Even Botox injections are substantially cheaper. There are services such as Airlift, Inc., which is owned by a nurse, which arrange everything for you, from your flight down, your accommodations while in the county and the doctor, nursing and hospital fees. In many cases, you can arrange to recuperate in a pleasant facility with round the clock nursing care. By the time most of the swelling and bruising are under control, you will be ready to return home with your new look. There is a downside however. One of the reasons US care is so expensive is malpractice lawsuits. One of the reasons that Mexican procedures are so cheap is that malpractice is not recognized in Mexico. So, if something does go wrong, you will have no recourse. However, thousands of Americans, Canadian and even residents of South America flock to Mexico every year for face lifts and other cosmetic procedures. I have been living part time in Mexico for over nine years and have many friends who have had successful surgeries. Check out the credentials of any physician you are considering carefully, Try to get references. If possible visit one of these cities beforehand so that you can become familiar with the facilities available and you can meet with some of the plastic surgeons. There is a large ex-patriot community in and around these cities. You can always find help and references by visiting with some of these residents, who are among the biggest consumers of this type of care. If you have a little sense of adventure and wish to save thousands of dollars on cosmetic surgery, Mexico might be the place for you. Essential Dating Tips

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

By Jack Strom It’s time for the date to begin. You’ve done most of the hard work already, so now it’s time to relax, enjoy yourself and have fun. Here are some dating tips that should help. 1. Get yourself in the mood. No, not that mood. Get yourself in a good mood. You want to feel good about yourself, have positive thoughts about the upcoming evening, and just generally feel happy about things. Being in a great mood will boost your confidence, and reflect in every action you take. Good moods are also catching, so your vibes will pass on to your date and you’ll both end up having a great time. 2. Arrive on time. Do you best to make sure you’re where you plan to be, at the time you plan to be there. If you can get there slightly early that’s even better. Unfortunately this is a catch 22, because some women are offended if a guy is late, yet it’s common for women to be late. It’s rude though, for either men or women to be late for the date, particularly if it’s your first date. Things do happen unexpectedly though, so if you know you’re running late be sure to call your date and let them know how much longer you expect to be. Women particularly will appreciate this effort from men. 3. Make an effort to listen well. You don’t be a wallflower who barely says a word, but you also don’t want to dominate the conversation, interrupt in the middle of your date’s sentences, or chatter on about yourself endlessly all night. Good conversation is a give and take situation. You need to listen to what you’re date is saying, and respond to that cohesively. If you’re not listening and you try to respond to something they’ve said, you will look like an idiot at best, or an insensitive jerk. Ladies this applies to you as well. Don’t be too full of yourself all night long. Let the guy talk a bit, respond to questions and insert his opinions and ideas. It’s ok for either of you to move the conversation in different directions, as long as you give your date a chance to move it themselves too. 4. Look them in the eyes. This is one of the easiest ways to appear attentive and interested when someone else is talking. It also helps you concentrate on what they’re saying, instead of being distracted by other things going on around you. 5. Don’t be overly suggestive or sexual - even in conversation. Any kind of sexual talk should be avoided on your date, particularly if this is the first date. 6. Don’t go into intimate details about previous relationships - especially those that ended badly. If you obsess and agonize over what went wrong, it seem as if you’re not over that relationship yet. And no one wants to feel as if they’re being compared to - or worse, having to compete with - an old flame. 7. Limit alcohol consumption. No man or woman is pretty when drunk, and for women particularly: Being drunk can put you in a severely compromised, unsafe situation. A Simple Way to Date Women

Monday, July 16th, 2007

By Scott Patterson If you want to make the process of dating women made simple, you first have to stop complicating it. Most men over-analyze everything. They will wonder what she meant when she said something or wrote something in an e-mail or instant message. The first step to the dating process is finding a woman that meets your realistic criteria. What “realistic” means is that if you want a woman who looks like a swimwear model, but you have a beer belly, are a couch potato and don’t have a college degree and a career, you’re not going to attract that kind of woman unless you provide her with a really interesting alternative. An attractive woman who is fun, interesting, and has her act together is never short of suitors. The next step in dating women is to make sure she is someone that you want to get to know. You shouldn’t date any woman just because of her physical appearance. It’s important, but no matter how pretty a woman is, any man will eventually get used to it. She should share the same values and have similar beliefs and you should feed off of your differences. When you behave and talk in a way that indirectly let’s her know that it takes a lot more than a pretty face to keep your attention, you’ll find that she will actually try harder to get your attention. And that’s what you want. You should always judge a person by their actions, not what they say. So if a woman tells you she likes you, but she keeps standing you up, that’s a red flag. If a woman says that wants to be more serious with you, but she continues going out with her girlfriends without inviting you, then she’s not ready for a serious relationship. You should always look at a woman’s actions. If you two are having dinner and her cell phone rings and she answers it in the middle of dinner, then that’s another red flag. When I first talk to women on the phone I like to tell them a short story on how I went on this date recently. I share how we were having dinner and that the woman’s cell phone rang and she immediately answered it. I explain how I thought it was rude. So now the new woman in my life knows that I don’t tolerate that kind of behavior. Generally, this is how the process will go. You will meet someone either online or offline, obtain her contact information, wait a couple of days and then call or e-mail her. Even in the digital age, you want to get her on the phone before you go out on a date. This why you will get to see if there is any phone chemistry. If you can’t even have a good 15 minute conversation over the phone, why bother meeting in person? Once you have qualified her over the phone you can either set up the date right then and there or wait until the next time. For first dates I usually have them meet me at a public place first. I don’t pick them up and I don’t have them come over my place. They are a stranger and I have no idea who they are yet. During the date you should make your decision on whether or not you want to see her again. If you don’t, say your goodbyes. If she contacts you let her know that it was nice meeting her and that it’s best that both of you move on. If she doesn’t contact you after a few days, then call her and tell her the same thing. It’s the right thing to do. But if she’s someone you would like to see again, let her know toward the end of the date. You don’t want to waste your time. You want to find out before you separate where you stand because if she doesn’t feel the same as you do, then it’s best to know that now. Be on the look out for ambiguous answers. If you tell her you’d like to see her again and she responds with “we’ll see”, don’t accept that as an answer. You are not looking for a committed relationship this early on, but you’ll want to let her know that you will not tolerate games. So when I hear “we’ll see” I like letting women know that I’m not a doormat and that I value my time. So I don’t put up with any games and I want to communicate that. So my response to that is simple: “Well, tell you what. I really enjoyed our time that we spent together and would like to see you again. But if you don’t know if you’d like to see my again then I’d appreciate an answer other than ‘we’ll see’ since that’s the kind of stuff I used to hear in high school. If the answer is still “we’ll see” then I know you’re playing games and I’m not about that. So if you had a good time and would like to do it again give me a call. If I never hear from you again, it’s ok, I’m a big boy. Besides, I have no problems meeting women. But I’d prefer to hang out again. So whaddya say?” That response has worked like gold for me because if she doesn’t like what I have to say then I KNOW without a doubt she is not the right woman for me. If she likes what I have to say then I know she’s interested. But more important than that she knows she’s dealing with a real man who will not fall for any of her games. And this is probably the most important point of this article. This makes dating a lot more simple because now you’ve either weeded out the flakes or you’ve found the right girl to pursue a more committed relationship. Pros and Cons of Taking Medication for Manic Depression

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

By Matt OConnor Medication is not usually used as a first line of defense against manic depression. Often, the patient has to undergo psychotherapy before the doctor will finally decide if he or she needs to take antidepressants. The reason for this is that the effects of these medications can differ from patient to patient. And these effects can either be beneficial or, sometimes, fatal to patients. Of course, the medications for manic depression are designed to cure the patient suffering from it. However, since it is a mental illness, it cannot be avoided that other patients would react negatively to the drug while others find the drug relatively helpful. Manic depression occurs when there is an imbalance with the neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that control the functions of the brain. When there is an imbalance among these neurotransmitters, either mania or depression occurs. From here, let us discuss the pros and cons of manic depression medications: At present, there are 4 groups of antidepressants: 1) SSRIs or Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors 2) MAOIs or Monoamine oxidase inhibitors 3) TCAs or Tricyclic 4) Lithium carbonates SSRIs are antidepressants that fix the serotonin levels of the brain. Popular SSRIs are sertraline (Zoloft), fluvoxamine (Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac) citalopram (Celexa), paroxetine (Paxil), and escitalopram oxalate (Lexapro). There are new SSRIs, the nefazodone (Serzone) and the venlafaxine (Effexor) that work not only to fix the serotonin levels of the brain but also another neurotransmitter, particularly the norepinephrine. Another antidepressant, the bupropion (Wellbutrin), affects dopamine and norepinephrine, more than the serotonin. MAOIs or Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (phenelzine and tranylcypromine) inhibit the MOI (an enzyme works to break down certain neurotransmitters) at the same time reinstate the normal mood of the patient. TCAs or Tricyclic antidepressants relieve depression by maintaining the right amount of neurotransmitters in the central nervous system. Popular tricyclic antidepressants are despiramine (Norpramin), imipramine (Janimine and Trofanil), amitriptyline (Elavil), and nortryptyline (Pamelor) Lithobid and Eskalith are Lithium carbonates that reduce the excessive activity of the brain. Other antimanic medications include carbamazepine (Tegretol), divalproex sodium (Depakote), and lithium citrate (Cibalith-S). All these, of course, are created for the benefit of the patient suffering from manic depression, especially the episodes of depression. However, since they are drugs, the effects may not be as desirable as they have to be; because, there are several patients that experience several side effects in taking these drugs. Side effects could range from hair loss, motor problems, weight gain, headaches, tremor, diarrhea, anxiety, reduced sexual performance or drive, nausea, to dry mouth depending on what type of medication is given. The occurrences of these side effects still depend on each patient. Some can claim that they experience at least one of the mentioned side effects while others can experience two or more. It should be noted that these are unavoidable but if the patient thinks that the medication he or she is taking gives more harm than good, the choice to continue now depends on him or her with the advice of his or her doctor. As a precautionary measure, the patient should consult an expert psychiatrist or a qualified doctor with experience of handling cases of manic depression. Alternatively, ask for other types of treatment that may work more effectively like alternative medicines, psychotherapy, or for the worst cases of manic depression - electroconvulsive therapy. The author of this article, Matthew OConnor runs a site dedicated to the latest news and developments in depression treatments, particularly the crucial topic of medication for manic depression.
